Agriturismo Belvedere is an ideal starting point for anyone who wants to experience Aosta Valley on foot. The property is located in Gressan, in the hamlet of Coassod, in a peaceful position that is also convenient for reaching Pila, Aosta and many mountain trails.
Just a few minutes from the agriturismo, the Pila area offers routes for different levels: from accessible walks through woods and pastures to panoramic hikes leading up to alpine lakes, mountain passes and viewpoints over the great peaks of Aosta Valley. It is a perfect area for alternating peaceful days in nature with more intense hikes, always with the pleasure of returning to Belvedere at the end of the day.
Among the most popular routes are the trails around Lake Chamolé and the Sentiero delle Marmotte, ideal for those looking for a classic, not too demanding hike with plenty of panoramic views. In this area, you walk through open landscapes, woods, alpine pastures and viewpoints where the eye opens onto Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and the Monte Emilius group.
For those who prefer a simpler, more relaxing walk, the panoramic loop between Pila, Gorraz, Alpe Liautaysaz and Alpe Grimondet lets you discover pastures, alpine farms and views over the city of Aosta without tackling overly demanding elevation gains. It is a lovely option for anyone who wants to breathe in the mountain atmosphere without going too far from the area.
More experienced hikers can choose longer and more panoramic routes, such as the Tour des Lacs and the Comboé valley, or high-altitude trails towards Stella del Couis and Punta Valletta, where the mountains become steeper and the view embraces much of the Aosta Valley alpine arc.
There are also routes closer to Gressan and Aosta, such as those connected to the Côte de Gargantua Nature Reserve, ideal for discovering a different side of the area, between nature, local history and valley-floor landscapes.
